I recently had the pleasure of photographing Emily and Jack’s Ayana Resort Bali wedding at Tresna Chapel. Ayana is one of Bali’s best-selling wedding venues, with four or five different ceremony spots to choose from across the resort, and Tresna Chapel remains one of the most popular thanks to its clifftop position looking straight out over the ocean.
One thing worth knowing if you are planning your own ceremony at Tresna Chapel: Ayana’s wedding organiser will most often offer a sunset slot around 5:30pm. From November to March this works out well, since sunset in Bali falls later in those months. But from July to September, sunset comes earlier, and a 5:30pm ceremony can end up running past golden hour, which risks missing the sunset couple photos altogether. If sunset photos matter to you, it is worth discussing the timing with the wedding organiser well in advance.
Shortly after Emily and Jack received their photos and videos, they sent me this:
