Jinal’s photo session at Mandapa, a Ritz Carlton Reserve in Ubud, felt calm, natural, and refreshing. Mandapa is one of my favorite newer resorts in Bali. What truly stands out is how the resort preserves its vast green spaces. While many hotels maximize their land with buildings and rooms, Mandapa keeps large areas open, allowing nature to remain the main focus.
Jinal and her partner booked a 2 hour photo session to explore the resort. At the beginning, they felt a little shy in front of the camera, but as the session progressed, they became more relaxed and comfortable. Soon, they moved freely and naturally, which allowed genuine moments to unfold.
I move quickly and quietly to capture real moments as they happen, even after intentionally slowing down the pace, we still completed the session in less than two hours. Mandapa’s wide greenery, soft natural light, and quiet pathways provided many beautiful backdrops, making the photo session smooth and enjoyable without any rush.
