Our Bali family photoshoot at Karma Kandara began with sweet portraits by the resort’s iconic colorful doors, adding a pop of color and charm to the collection. Around the lush garden, the family gathered by the fountain, surrounded by tropical greenery and soft natural light that created a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We continued the session at the beach, where golden sand and turquoise waves set the perfect scene for candid, joyful moments together.

The best time for a family photoshoot at Karma Kandara is in the early morning around 6.30 to 8.00 am, when the light is soft and the air feels fresh, or in the late afternoon around 5.00 pm, when the golden light beautifully enhances both the resort and beach scenery. These times help create flattering tones and a relaxed mood for natural, happy photos that feel timeless.

Planning a Family Photoshoot at Karma Kandara

Karma Kandara is a cliff-top resort on the Bukit Peninsula in Ungasan, with views over the Indian Ocean. Its villas are built around private courtyards and pools, using natural stone and teak decks, and a funicular takes guests down to Karma Beach, so one session can cover the colorful doors, the gardens and the beach.

A 60-minute session is enough for the doors, the garden and the beach if we keep the route simple. For a big family, or if you would like more individual portraits, 90 minutes gives you more room. See the 60-minute family portrait experience.
