When Troy and Courtney came to Bali for their honeymoon, they wanted something natural, relaxed, and memorable. Instead of a traditional pre-wedding production with a makeup artist, multiple assistants, and complicated setups, they chose a full-day photography adventure focused entirely on enjoying their time together while exploring some of Bali’s most beautiful locations.

It was a genuine pleasure to photograph this energetic and fun-loving couple. From the moment we started, their chemistry was effortless. They were easy to guide, always smiling, and genuinely excited to experience each new destination throughout the day.

One thing I always prioritize is moving efficiently without ever feeling rushed. A well-planned itinerary lets couples actually enjoy the experience while still making the most of their time. With careful route planning and some local knowledge to avoid the usual traffic headaches, we visited six stunning locations in a single day and kept the whole atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.

Our Full-Day Honeymoon Route

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple We started the day at the iconic lakeside temple surrounded by the cool mountain air of Bedugul. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful gardens were the perfect way to ease into their honeymoon photography experience.

Handara Gate One of Bali’s most recognizable landmarks, the famous Handara Gate offered a dramatic backdrop with lush greenery and mountain scenery all around. Troy and Courtney’s playful personalities made this spot particularly fun to work with.

Banyumala Waterfalls Tucked away in Bali’s tropical forests, the waterfall area created some of the most romantic moments of the entire day. The natural beauty of the cascading water and surrounding jungle suited their adventurous spirit perfectly.

Sangeh Monkey Forest The towering nutmeg trees and quiet forest paths offered a unique setting filled with rich greenery and beautiful natural light. This location brought a completely different mood to the gallery.

Gunung Kawi Temple, Tampaksiring Ancient stone carvings, historical architecture, and a sense of calm throughout created timeless photographs that showed another side of Bali’s cultural depth.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace To close out the day, we made our way to one of Bali’s most beloved landscapes. The vibrant green rice terraces gave us an unforgettable setting for their final portraits, capturing everything that makes Bali’s countryside so special.

Simple, Relaxed, and Authentic

What made this session so special was its simplicity. No makeup artist, no lighting assistant, no large production team. Just Troy and Courtney enjoying their honeymoon, a driver taking care of the transportation, and me focused on capturing real, authentic moments throughout the day.

A lot of couples think they need elaborate styling or a big crew to walk away with beautiful photographs. In reality, genuine connection, great locations, and good light are usually all it takes.

Planning Your Own Bali Honeymoon or Casual Pre-Wedding Session

I can put together a customized photography itinerary based on your travel schedule, preferred scenery, and photography style. Whether you’re drawn to temples, waterfalls, rice terraces, beaches, or mountain views, we’ll build a route that lets you enjoy Bali while creating beautiful memories along the way.

Thank you, Troy and Courtney, for trusting me to document such a special chapter of your journey together. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and wonderful memories, and I hope our paths cross again in Bali someday.
