Akhil from New York flew to Bali with one special purpose, to propose to his girlfriend, Saloni. He chose the stunning Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort as the perfect place to begin their new chapter together.
That afternoon, the sky was covered with thick clouds, and a light rain started to fall. But as Akhil knelt down to propose, the rain gently stopped, revealing soft light over the ocean. It felt like nature itself paused for their moment. The scene turned beautifully emotional, and every frame reflected their love and joy.

They contacted me to capture both photo and video, and it was truly heartwarming to document their story. The mix of rain, mist, and relief created an atmosphere that was raw and genuine, something that made the entire proposal unforgettable.
As a Bali proposal photographer, moments like this remind me how magical real emotions can be when the timing is just right. Wishing Akhil and Saloni a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and endless blessings.
Anantara Uluwatu Proposal: Best Time and Planning Tips
Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort, now operating as Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort, sits on a cliff in Pecatu on the Bukit Peninsula, with wide views over the Indian Ocean. The resort steps down the slope, so there are several levels and corners to choose from for a proposal.
Late afternoon is the classic time for a proposal here, as the sun sinks lower over the sea. But as Akhil and Saloni’s story shows, even a rainy afternoon can turn into soft, moody light, so I always suggest keeping the schedule flexible, especially in the rainy season. I stay discreet and keep my distance until the moment, then we continue with a relaxed couple portrait session.
A 60-minute proposal session is enough for the proposal and a few portraits afterwards. If you want more time to relax and explore the resort, choose the 90-minute package.
