Intimate Wedding at Arsana Estate Bali

This post belongs to our archive because it may meet one of two conditions. The photos were taken more than ten years ago and some of the locations or venues no longer exist, or some of the images quality may no longer match our current standard.

Some weddings are grand celebrations with hundreds of guests. And then there are weddings like Stephanie and Lee’s, quiet, intentional, and full of heart. On a lush afternoon at Arsana Estate in Tabanan – Bali, Stephanie and Lee chose to say their vows surrounded by just two of their closest friends. No large crowd, no elaborate program. Just the people who mattered most, a bamboo canopy draped in white, tropical gardens in full bloom, and two people completely present in the moment. It was exactly the kind of wedding that reminds you what it is all really about.

A Beautiful Setting at Arsana Estate, Tabanan

Arsana Estate is one of those venues that does not need much decoration. Tucked in the green heart of Tabanan, the estate offers lush tropical gardens, a stunning reflection pool, and the kind of privacy that makes an intimate wedding feel truly special. For a small ceremony like Stephanie and Lee’s, it was the perfect match.

The ceremony took place beside the pool under a bamboo arch dressed in flowing white fabric and delicate floral garlands. Bougainvillea added splashes of pink and purple against the deep green surroundings. As the afternoon light softened and evening came, the whole setting transformed into something almost magical, the couple reflected perfectly in the still water below. As a Bali wedding photographer, moments like this are the reason I do this work.

Relaxed, Genuine, and Full of Laughter

What stood out throughout the day was how relaxed everything felt. With only four people present, there was no pressure, no schedule to rush through, no crowd to manage.

Stephanie laughed as she walked down the steps with her bridesmaid, bouquet in hand, surrounded by wildflowers and tropical palms. Lee waited at the altar with a calm smile that said everything without a word. During the ceremony, the four of them stood together in a circle of quiet joy. No grand gestures, just honest ones.

This is what elopements and micro weddings in Bali do so well. They strip away everything unnecessary and leave only what truly matters.

Elopements and Small Weddings in Bali

More and more couples are choosing this path, a small, meaningful ceremony in a beautiful place, with only their closest people around them. Whether you call it an elopement or a micro wedding, the result is the same. A day that feels completely yours.

Bali is one of the most beautiful places in the world to do it. Venues like Arsana Estate in Tabanan offer the intimacy and natural beauty that make these small celebrations feel extraordinarily special. And as a Bali wedding photographer who has been documenting moments like these since 2008, I can say with confidence that small weddings are never short on emotion. Often, they have more of it.

Stephanie and Lee, it was a genuine honour to be there with you on your wedding day. Watching the two of you exchange vows in that beautiful garden, with the people you love by your side, was something I will not forget. You chose to celebrate your love in the most personal way possible, and it showed in every single moment. Wishing you a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and quiet evenings that feel just as beautiful as that reflection in the pool.
