Taman Bhagawan: A Beachfront Bali Wedding Venue in Nusa Dua
The name Taman Bhagawan means “Sacred Garden”, and it fits. The estate blends traditional Balinese and Indonesian artistry with lush gardens, so almost every corner makes a good backdrop for photos. You can hold your ceremony in the teak joglo, on the lawn, or beside the beach, then celebrate on the open lawns or by the infinity pool. Because it’s a private venue, you have the space to yourselves, which makes everything feel relaxed and personal.
No Hotel on Site, But Your Guests Will Be Fine
Taman Bhagawan is a venue only, so there’s no accommodation on the property. Don’t let that put you off! It’s really easy for your guests to find a place to stay nearby. Within a 10-minute drive there are tens of hotels, from 3-star to 5-star, and if you include Airbnb there are well over 100 choices. Whatever your guests’ budget, they’ll find something close.
Best Time to Start Your Taman Bhagawan Wedding Ceremony
Here’s something worth knowing about the setting. The beach at Taman Bhagawan faces east, not west, so the sun doesn’t set over the ocean here. As you can see in the photos, the sunset happens at the other end of the garden, and the golden light falls softly across the lawn and trees. My tip is to start your ceremony at around 4:30pm. That gives you time to finish the ceremony, enjoy the hugs and congratulations, and still have that warm golden light for your couple portraits and the wedding party photos in the garden.
Consistent Photos, Day and Night: It’s All About the Lighting
I really care about lighting, and after more than a decade as a wedding photographer in Bali, it’s what I focus on most. Good lighting is what keeps the quality of your photos consistent, whether we’re shooting in soft afternoon light, at golden hour, or in the middle of the night. A wedding doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, and your photos shouldn’t get worse either. In this gallery you can see the whole day: the daytime ceremony, the golden light on the lawn, and then the string lights and colourful dance floor of the evening reception.
So if you’re comparing wedding photographers, my advice is not to judge only by daytime photos. Daylight is the easy part.
